Rwanda is a land of absolute beauty characterized by glorious towering milieu and décor from the rolling hills hence known as the “Land of a thousand hills”. At just 26’338 sq.km, Rwanda is small but stunningly beautiful and worth exploring on an African safari. It’s popular for its signature gorilla trekking adventures but more to that are the Chimpanzee tracking safaris in Nyungwe forest.

On this 6 days Rwanda African safari, you will go for Chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe forest and also explore Lake Kivu in the western part of the country. It is one of the Great Lakes of Africa.

At approximately 1’000 sq.km, Nyungwe Forest national park is undoubtedly the biggest mountain rainforest in Eastern Africa. It extends into Burundi’s Kibira National Park and mainly known for its primate variety and density. The park shelters over 500 Chimpanzees and primates like the L’Hoests, Blue monkeys, Owl-faced and Colobus Monkeys among others. The highlight of your safari will be the adventurous Canopy walk, where you knees will shake 60 meters high above a dense jungle canopy.
