Its situated in the eastern part of Uganda covering an area of about 1,100km2 bordering the western side of Kenya.
Because of its diversity, the park has varied beauty to marvel about including the calderas, peaks and contrasting vegetation zones. More so is its wildlife with over 300bird species like the endangered Lammergeyer and variety of mammals and primates. Mount Elgon boasts a strong scenery emphasized by the stunning waterfalls and because of its importance it’s a UNESCO man and biosphere reserve. On this 6 nights Uganda adventure safari, you will hike Mount Elgon and the gorgeous Sipi Falls which are situated just close to Elgon.
Note: On this adventure experience, expect to spend roughly 6-9hours of hiking on Mount Elgon every day. Overnights will be camping. There are potters at a reasonable fee to help hikers carry some of your luggage.

Note: Welcome to the Land of Adventure! You will be warmly received by the guide at Entebbe International airport the day you arrive. You will be then transferred to the hotel in Kampala where overnight will be.

Package Itinerary
Leave the hotel after breakfast and hit the road on a journey east of the country to Mount Elgon national park via Jinja to Mbale. You will have a lunch break en-route, dinner and overnight will be at the hotel/lodge.
Meal Plan: Half Board [HB]. Overnight: Mbale Resort hotel (Luxury) /Mount Elgon hotel (Midrange-Standard).
Start with an early breakfast, transfer to the park reception area where you meet with the ranger guide, who will take you through this exciting Uganda hiking adventure. After briefing, you will take on the hike to Mountain Elgon starting with the sasa trail. The trail is the most direct route to the peaks. The scenery is beautiful because the trail leads through the park’s vast area of bamboo.

After breakfast, prepare well in time and continue with the hiking expedition. Proceed to the caldera as you enjoy the spectacular view and beauty of nature. Utilize the best of your time, trace the highest peaks on Uganda and Kenya side, and visit the hot springs. You will have a picnic lunch on this trek, and dinner.

Begin with breakfast, and continue with the trek to the hunters cave. It’s a steep-long hike to the cave just below the caldera. These caves riddle the slopes of the mountain and are a result of deposits left by lava deposits. The scenery is beautiful characterized by a rich blend of vegetation and volcanic deposits/ features creating superb landscapes.

After breakfast, today signs off your Mount Elgon hiking adventure, you will enjoy being part of lucky hikers in the park when you encounter varied numbers of wildlife on this route like; primates, birds and vegetation of rare tree species. Descend and transfer to the ranger station at Kapkwata from where you will transfer to the lodge or hotel for relaxation. It is here dinner and overnight will be.

Start with breakfast at the overnight accommodation, transfer for an adventurous hike to the magnificent Sipi falls. The winding trails lead past interesting landscape all the way to the summit where you are able to have remarkable view of Kapchorwa plains.
After lunch, travel to Jinja and check-in at the lodge/hotel where dinner and overnight will be.

After breakfast proceed to the point where you will set off for an astonishing show of the Nile River on a boat cruise to the source where the river starts its long journey all the way north of Africa to the Mediterranean Sea. The cruise is a flawless way to enjoy the world’s longest river and you may see some wildlife including birds and primates.
Later, leave for Kampala where you arrive in the evening, drop off at the hotel or airport for your flight.
