Uganda is a country full of flawless African safari encounters, emotional and adventurous experiences; so a reason early visitors named it the “Pearl of Africa”. This 8 day Uganda wildlife and adventure safari package you will explore Kidepo Valley national park. It’s one of Africa’s finest game and photography safari destination, known for its stunning wild landscape.

Kidepo Valley is tucked in the northern corner of the country with an arid climate. It’s an isolated award winning national park listed No3 by the CNN Travel among Africa’s top 10 parks in 2013. Because of its wild and brooding landscape, it has a huge appeal for African photography safaris. So to the park’s diversity are unique species like Cheetahs and Ostriches, 77mammals, 500 of birds, more you will encounter on this safari.

For the Uganda adventure palate, you will hike the picturesque Sipi falls in Kapchorwa. Because of its wealth of adventure, you will immerse in a rafting or tubing adventure on the world’s longest river; the Nile.

Note: Welcome to Uganda! Meet and Greet by the company guide on the day you arrive at the airport. The guide will transfer you to the hotel in Kampala for overnight before kicking-off this Uganda wildlife and adventure safari.

Package Itinerary

Depart Kampala early after breakfast, head north of the country via Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakasogola, where you will track the White Rhinos, a member of the African Big Five that you will encounter on this safari. Continue all the way to Kitgum where you will have overnight at the hotel/ lodge.

Meal Plan: Half Board. O/night: Bomah Hotel / Acaki Lodge

Checkout from the hotel early enough after breakfast, continue to Kidepo valley national park where you arrive in the afternoon hours.
Check-in at the lodge where your stay will be, after lunch, you will set off for a late afternoon safari game drive through the park. On this wildlife viewing game drive, you will see the great game in Kidepo’s Narus valley where most of the wildlife flocks.

Go for yet another stunning wildlife experience in Kidepo, on a morning game drive where you will be able to see more wildlife that frequents the fresh grasses in the early hours of the day. This may also be the day to lookout for the Lions, usually seen lying atop rock kopjes.
After lunch, you go for a late afternoon adventurous hike of the Morungole ranges-a sacred home of the mysterious Ike people. These ranges tower in the background of the Kidepo plains producing glorious view and best scene for African photography. Transfer to the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Leave Kidepo Valley very early after breakfast, transfer southwards of the park to Kapchorwa at Sipifalls area. The route through this part of the country past Bokora and Pian Upe wildlife reserves is scenic. You will have a lunch break en-route while dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

After having breakfast, today you go hiking to the top of Sipi falls, one of the breathtaking sites of eastern Uganda. Winding trails lead past beautiful landscape and interesting features all the way to the top of these astonishing water falls. The top present remarkable Kodak moments.
Later have a lunch break then in the afternoon enjoy a community walk, which activity gives you highlights about African lifestyle and culture, local coffee fields where you may have that chance to trace the origin and story of coffee from farm to cup.

Leave Kapchorwa after breakfast and transfer to Jinja where you arrive in the afternoon hours, have a lunch break at the boked accommodation and later head to for a cruise along the splendid waters of the mighty River Nile to the source where this world’s longest river starts its long journey through northern Africa to the Mediterranean Sea. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Today the guide transfers you to the starting point after breakfast, here you meet with your rafting guide who will take you through briefing. After finalizing, you take on the Uganda rafting adventure on river Nile. There are various rapids available to raft depending on your interest. It is absolutely fascinating to navigate the rough rapids of the world’s longest river. This adventure experience lasts half of the day (For passionate rafters, you may opt for a full day experience).
Or you may decide to take on a tubing adventure on the Nile, either; float water or extreme tubing to test your adrenaline levels. Hold your breath and explore the white waters of the Nile. Relaxation, dinner and overnight stay at the hotel/ lodge.

Goodbye the Pearl! Enjoy breakfast which will mark the end of this Uganda wildlife and adventure safari. Check-out from the lodge, the transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe and drop off is at the hotel or the airport for your flight.
