Note: Welcome to the Pearl of Africa! You will be warmly received by our guide at Entebbe International airport on the day of arrival for this remarkable Uganda safari. The guide will then transfer you to your overnight accommodation in Kampala.

Package Itinerary

Depart Kampala very early after breakfast, heading southwest of the country to Mgahinga Gorilla trekking park. On the way, you will break off at the Equator for an introductory Uganda safari experience and Kodak moments. Lunch will be in Mbarara then continue with the journey all the way to Kisoro and check-in at the booked accommodation where you will have your stay on the visit to the park.

O/night: Mount Gahinga lodge (Luxury) /Traveler’s Rest Kisoro (Midrange) /Kisoro Tourist Hotel (Basic).

Leave the lodge with packed lunch boxes after breakfast then proceed to the park reception area where you will find the ranger guide, it is here hiking commences from. The ranger will take you through briefing then start off trekking/ hiking following any of the trails from Ntebeko, and you choose to hike one of the 3 volcanos in the parkthat is; Muhavura at 4127m, or Sabinyo at 3669m or Gahinga at 3474m, depending on your fitness and ability.

The activity takes you about 6 to 8 hours depending on the pace and while at the summit of the volcanoes, you take in views of the neighboring countries and attractions like Rwenzori’s depending on which you hiked. Tracks along let you encounter lots of wildlife species like birds, primates, as well as magnificent sights of lakes and agricultural villages.

After breakfast, transfer to Ntebeko reception area where you meet the ranger and after briefing, you enter the forest for a Golden monkey tracking Uganda safari experience in Mgahinga gorilla national park. These primates are an endangered species and are endemic to the Virunga ranges, trails through the park will lead you through the exquisite Bamboo forests where the Golden monkeys can be traced. An hour is given to you once you come across them then return to the start off point.
Later leave for Lake Bunyonyi, and this area is known for the stunningly extraordinary beauty in Africa.

Start with breakfast taken at the lodge, then take on an intriguing canoe ride along the fine-looking Lake Bunyonyi, one of the wonders of southwestern Uganda. On this safari activity, you visit some of the 29 Islands for a taste of culture and nature at the selected islands, one of the things you will undeniably like are the Kodak moments. The activity lasts about2-3hours then leave for Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park and this journey lasts about 2 to 4 hours depending on which sector (northern or southern) you will track the Gorillas.

You leave the lodge with your packed lunchboxes after breakfast, then proceed to the park reception area where you meet with the ranger who will take you through the gorilla trekking etiquette, after registration and briefing, you then enter this rolling rainforest to see the Great Apes of Africa. Tracking the Mountain Gorillas is somewhat arduous due to the terrain and slippery nature of the trails due to the chilly weather but the forest is extremely fascinating.
The Uganda Gorilla trekking safari moment is remarkably adventurous and takes a few to some good hours depending on factors like location of the Gorilla family you are tracking and its movements, pace of the trackers among other elements. On finding them, visitors have an hour in their presence and it is available to you to capture some of the best shots. Afterwards, return to the reception area then head to the lodge for relaxation.

Travel northwards of Bwindi to Queen Elizabeth national park after breakfast, which journey lasts 4 to 6 hours depending on which sector of Bwindi Impenetrable forest you tracked the Mountain Gorillas. This is a scenic journey through this countryside on an African marram road entering through the Southern section of Ishasha known for its tree climbing Lions. On the drive through this sector of the park to the lodge, you will see some wildlife like Elephants, Bushbucks and other. It’s at the lodge you will have your dinner and overnight stay.

O/night: Ishasha Wilderness camp (Luxury) /Ishasha Jungle lodge (Midrange)] /Enjojo lodge (Basic).

Start with breakfast then go for a very early morning game drive within the Ishasha sector located in the southern part of the park, famous for the tree climbing Lions, and scenes of these resident predators lying in tree branches are rare moments one can capture in the African wilderness. This game drive through the gleaming savannas of Ishasha reward you with lots of wildlife vistas and lasts about 3 hours, then transfer through the park to Kazinga channel where you will start off the launch trip.
You have a lunch break in the afternoon, then you go for a launch cruise along the beautiful Kazinga channel which is known for flocks of wildlife seen on this 2 hour voyage. A cruise along the channel is a perfect Uganda safari experience, the channel and its shores host Buffalos, Elephants, Hippopotamuses and birds among other wildlife. Retire for the night at the lodge.

Have a hearty breakfast, then continue to explore the golden-yellow savannas of Queen Elizabeth national park on an early wildlife game drive through the plains of Kasenyi. The park’s alluring diversity takes in a countless number of craters curved dramatically on brims of plateaus, creating a remarkable scenery for wilderness photography.
After the game drive, continue northwards of Queen Elizabeth to Kibale forest, a journey lasting about 3 hours to Fort Portal then travel to the park area at the lodge where you will be for your stay while at Kibale.

O/n: Crater Safari lodge(Luxury) /Primate lodge (Midrange) /Kibale Forest Camp (Basic).

Transfer to the park reception area at Kanyancu after breakfast, where you meet with the ranger guide who will brief you about the Chimpanzee tracking etiquette then enter the forest for the activity. Kibale forest is known for the dense primate concentration with 13 species including over 1500 population of Chimpanzees which it is mainly known for. Chimpanzee tracking Uganda safaris in Kibale forest usually last about 3 hours on a forest walk where you get to encounter lots of interesting other species like birds, unique tree species like Adam tree, and other forest mammals in this towering evergreen tropical forest. When you meet the Chimps, you see them for one hour then retreat.
In the afternoon, you will explore some of the beautiful explosion craters around Kibale forest on nature treks. These craters offer stunning scenery for viewing and photography, with trails leading past some communities and agricultural fields.

Depart western Uganda and hit the road on a journey through this untamed countryside, heading northwestwards to Murchison falls national park which seats at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley. This drive along a murram road through the great Kingdom of Bunyoro rewards you with views of African local communities and natural wilderness. You will have a lunch break en-route and other breaks for stretch-out, on arrival check-in at the lodge where dinner and overnight will be.

Leave the lodge after breakfast and today you will explore the beauty of this African jewel on a game drive and a launch trip. Today, you browse around the game trucks on the northern sector of the park where you will see lots of wildlife like Elephants, Cape Buffalos, Rothschild’s Giraffes, Lions and others, this activity lasts about 3 hours through the golden savannas of East Africa.
You will also do a launch trip along the Nile which originates from Paraa cruising upstream of the river and this trip culminates into an anterior display of the bottom of the astonishing waterfalls. This area commands stunning photography moments, from the trip (either one-way or return) you will hike or visit top of the exploding waterfalls known for the trademark rainbow and misty spray. On this trip you will see lots of wildlife on the banks.

Have an early game drive within Murchison falls to add on your Uganda safari wildlife count and the morning gives you a chance to see wildlife grazing the luxuriant pasture and later depart the park and travel southwards to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola, located just about 3 hours from the park. At the sanctuary, you will have a foot safari to track the White Rhinos, one of the members of the African Big Five that you will see on this safari in the Pearl of Africa.
Later depart Ziwa and transfer back to Kampala, a journey lasting about 3 hours and then have a night stay at the hotel.

Today after breakfast, you will have a simple visit around Uganda’s Central Business District, where you discover some of its historical landmarks like the Mengo Palace, the main palace of one of Africa’s longest reigning and biggest Kingdom. You visit Africa’s second largest mosque, and some other great attractions around the city, and this city tour will mark the end of you Pearl of Africa safari. Later you will be driven off to the airport in Entebbe for your international flight back home.
