9 Days Uganda Charity Program With Wildlife

During this Uganda safari, you will immerse in some charity by visiting some NGO’s as well as exploring the country’s wildlife gems. As part of our charity, you will have a heartwarming experience and encounter with the vulnerable children of Missionaries of the Poor Charity home which is located in Mengo and Nalukolongo. They home offers shelter and care to children with disabilities, orphans and the abandoned. The home has two branches doing this honorable work in community and as such, we commend them and put ourselves to task.
We support their work through our CSR programs, organize itineraries for volunteers and other people who would wish to do charity while on holiday in Uganda- Africa. On this safari, we will visit the home and extend support. You are also free to make any other donations like financial and non financial such as clothes etc. You will also visit Maria Rosa Mystic charity home and orphanage around Katwe near Queen Elizabeth national park.
For your Uganda wildlife safari program, you will visit Kibale forest where you will participate in Chimpanzee tracking. You will also explore the beautiful craters of Fort Portal and immerse in some local experiences. The wildlife search will be completed with a game safari in Queen Elizabeth national park.

Note: Welcome to the Pearl of Africa! You will be warmly received by our guide on arrival at Entebbe Airport. He will then transfer you to your overnight accommodation in Kampala.

Package Itinerary
Have a hearty breakfast at the hotel, the guide meets you here at around 8:00am and you start off your tour of Kampala city, which enjoys a stunning location on the seven historical hills. You will visit the Mengo hill which houses the official palace of Buganda Kingdom plus other traditional and historical landmarks. You will visit Gadhafi national mosque, Rubaga cathedral, Kasubi Roya tombs- a UNESCO site and Bahai temple. Lunch will be at the hotel in Kampala, Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Meal Plan: Full Board
You will have a hearty breakfast at the hotel, then go to Missionary of the Poor home in Nalukolongo on the first day and second day to the Mengo branch. We shall first visit some local shops and markets, to do some shopping (or may be done prior by our team) to get some necessities like food stuffs, etc that we shall give to the home, you are also free to come along with personal donations or support you would like to extend to them. You will spend most of your day at the home, do some volunteer work at your will, inspire the children at the home with new ideas etc. later return to the hotel where dinner and overnight will be.

Depart Kampala after a hearty breakfast and travel westwards through a countryside shrouded in verdant foliage and scenic rocky backdrop, to Fort Portal town. Have your lunch break here and later continue to the your booked accommodation in/near Kibale forest.

Leave the lodge after breakfast, assemble at the reception area where you will be briefed about the Chimpanzee tracking etiquette, then enter the forest to track these delightful primates. On the forest walk, you will meet various species of primates, birds, trees among others and once you come across the Chimpanzees, you will spend an hour in their presence then retreat.
Have a lunch break, and in the afternoon go for a walk around Bigodi village where you will meet local people and learn about some local activities like cooking, music and drama. Retire at the lodge for the night.

After breakfast, leave for an early morning session of the crater walk trail, the oodles of craters around this region are a beauty to behold. The walk last about three hours and leads to various craters.
On this walk you will also meet local communities which are custodians of various activities you will embrace.
Later depart for Queen Elizabeth national park after lunch.

Today after breakfast, leave for a day’s game drive setting off very early before sunrise, for opportune moments to catch the predators before they return to their hideouts. You will browse the beautiful savanna plains of Kasenyi and Ishasha southern sector for a chance to see the tree climbing Lions, Elephants, Buffalos, Waterbucks and many others. You will have a picnic lunch and later in the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Have a hearty breakfast, then setoff early to Katwe area where you will make a humanitarian visit to Maria Rosa Mystica, a local orphanage and community home, with children ready to entertain you.
In the afternoon, you will participate in an extraordinary launch trip along the Kazinga channel where you will see various species of wildlife like birds, mammals among other marine species most interestingly the Hippopotamuses. .

Check-out from the lodge early after breakfast, embark on the journey back to Kampala or the airport where you will be dropped for your international flight back home. En-route you will visit Iongo cultural center and the Equator.
