Package Overview

On this Ultimate Uganda wildlife safari with charity program, you will spend the best of your time on an African Big Five quest in the golden wild savannas of Kidepo Valley and Murchison falls national parks as well as in Ziwa sanctuary where you will track the White Rhinos. Each of these national parks is home to over 75 mammal species including both the small and big game of Africa like Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Giraffes, Buffalos among many others. On this Uganda wildlife safari you will browse the two big game parks to see the various wildlife species, you will participate in game drives, launch trip in Murchison Falls as well as walking safari in Kidepo Valley and Ziwa Rhino sanctuary.

You will also utilize the best of your time in Africa, on holiday, with a visit to a community-based charity home “Missionaries of the Poor” which takes care of abandoned children and orphans with various disabilities. We shall use revenue from this tour to purchase items we shall donate with you to the home, after your Uganda wildlife holiday experience. You are also free to carry some donations with you on your travel to Uganda.

Note: Welcome to the land of hospitable people! Meet and greet with our guide at Entebbe International Airport on the day of arrival, who will then transfer you to your overnight accommodation in Kampala.

Package Itinerary

Depart Kampala very early by 6:30AM after breakfast, travel northwards of the country to Gulu or Kitgum where you will have an overnight stop. Today you will break-off en-route for a Rhino tracking session on a walking safari in Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, Nakasongola district. This will be your first sighting of the African Big Five member. Afterwards continue with the journey past Karuma falls to Gulu and check-in at the booked accommodation for overnight.

Meal Plan: Half Board

Leave Gulu after a hearty breakfast at the hotel, continue to the park where you will arrive in the mid-morning hours for and introductory wildlife experience, have a lunch break at the lodge then in the late afternoon, you will go for an evening to night game drive. You will start off this Big Five safari experience with a quest along the Narus valley where you expect to see herds of Buffalos, Giraffes, Zebras, Elands, Oribis and Elephants, as well as the odd Jackal and a Lion atop a rock kopje. Return to the lodge later in the night time for dinner and overnight.

Today after breakfast, leave the lodge with packed lunch boxes for a fun-filled full-day wildlife adventure in the park. Start off with a morning game drive to the hot springs via the palm tree fringed Kidepo River valley. Lookout for the Ostriches and Leopard tortoises along the way among other wildlife. After lunch, stretch your legs on a guided walk in the park around Apoka area for chance to see wildlife up-close at about 50-70meters. Dinner and night at the lodge

After having a hearty breakfast, check-out from the lodge early and depart to Murchison Falls national park which enjoys a remarkable location at the northern end of the Albertine rift valley. It is an awe-inspiring drive through Acholi-land via Kitgum and Gulu leading you past beautiful countryside with scenes of local communities.

Meal Plan: Full Board (FB)

Leave the lodge with packed breakfast, hit the undulating savannas of Murchison before sunrise for an early morning game drive for chance to see a great count of wildlife including some nocturnal species like Hyenas before they return to their hideouts. You will browse the savannas on a 3hour game drive seeing wildlife like Jackson’s Hartebeests, Buffalos, Giraffes and luckily Lions among others and later have a lunch break. You will visit top of the falls and later in the evening you will have a sundowner boat cruise along the Victoria Nile all the way to the bottom of the scenic waterfalls. You will feel and experience the power of nature, listening and watching the Nile explode through a 7m gorge with a misty scene and trademark rainbow.

Leave the lodge after breakfast, transfer south of the park to go for Chimpanzee tracking in Budongo Forest reserve. The section from and through Kaniyo Pabidi is the ultimate spot for primate tracking experience. This ironwood and mahogany forest is a remarkable site to see the Chimps as well as other primates like Olive Baboons, Blue Monkeys and birds including those endemic here. Later, depart for Kampala with a lunch break en-route. Overnight with dinner at the hotel.

Meal Plan: Full Board

Start with breakfast, leave the hotel and go for a short city tour where you will visit Mengo palace of Buganda Kingdom, the Royal Mile, and later go for a noble visit to the Missionary of the Poor home. We shall go to local markets and do some shopping of the items we shall take to the charity home, spend some time with the children at the home, inspire them, give them hope and teach them something new etc. Later in the afternoon have lunch at a restaurant in Kampala then be transferred to the airport in Entebbe for your flight back home.

Meal Plan: Breakfast and Lunch. End of Safari.
